MONDAY - The First Frog

By DR Rawson

Being the first of his kind into the valley, he was excited. He sat by the river that brought him to this beautiful place and thought for a minute.

He asked himself, “What do they call this wonderful place?” Instantly, he knew the answer, “It’s someplace.”

He could feel it in his bones-this could be his new home, a place he could grow to love and cherish. But it was more than that. It was a place to be discovered, to be explored. He couldn't help but wonder, 'What adventures await me here? What would others do in my place?'

TUESDAY - Defining Friendship

By DR Rawson

Two young frogs, Charley and Buster, were embroiled in a dispute over which lily pad they would claim as their own. The local Sheriff, a very big frog, hopped over to mediate between these two young friends.

“What seems to be the matter, boys?” The Sheriff said. Charley said, “I saw that lily pad first, and Buster thinks it’s his.”

The Sheriff said, “Let me ask you, what difference does it make? Now, let me ask another question: is your friendship or where you sit more important?”

Finally, Buster said, “Friendship is more important than things.” His friend Charley agreed.

WEDNESDAY - Getting Back Up

By DR Rawson

Lilly was reading her new TinyTales.Press book number one when a bird flew into the window beside her. She was shocked as she watched the bluebird fall to the ground.

“Mommy, mommy, come quick, a bird is hurt,” she called to her mom. Her mother met her outside at the site where the bird landed.

They examined the bird, and it seemed ok; it was surprised to fly into a clear window.

Lilly’s mom said, “That can happen to you, Lilly; just remember that when it does, you pick yourself up and keep going.” Just then, the bird flew away.

THURSDAY - Mom Is Right

By DR Rawson

Ricky said, “Mom told me that this piece of glass is made from sand. That can’t be right.” His Dad took Ricky’s piece of glass from him and put it on his workbench.

His Dad said, “First, there’s something you should know about your Mom. She will never lie to you. Next, your Mom surfed as a young girl and learned much about Sand. She’s absolutely right.”

His Dad said, “See the picture of the Spacecraft turning bright red from the heat from reentry? Its temperature was more than 3,000 degrees, roughly the same temperature that sand becomes glass.”

FRIDAY - The Courage To Tell The Truth

By Rick Allen

Emma had always loved the old ceramic vase that sat on the family room shelf.

One day, while playing, she knocked it over by accident, shattering it.

Heart sinking, she knew she had to face her dad. With a trembling voice, she confessed to the mishap. Her dad listened quietly, his face serious but soft.

“Thank you for telling me the truth, Emma,” he said, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder.

“It takes courage to be honest, especially when you’re scared.”

Together, they cleaned up, Emma feeling relieved and a little taller, having learned the true value of integrity.

SATURDAY - Waiting Wisely

By CJ Coop

Henry the hare boasted, “I’ll race to the brook before you blink!”

“Slow and steady,” murmured Toby the turtle. His eyes sparkled with gentle wisdom. As Henry dashed, weaving through the grass with laughter, Toby plodded on, unfazed.

“Mate, why dawdle when life’s a sprint?” Henry chuckled, glancing back. “Because, my friend, patience often reveals shortcuts,” Toby replied, his pace steady.

As Henry tired, Toby reached the clever path hidden under the ferns. His steady, slow steps never faltered, and he arrived just as Henry collapsed beside the water, gasping.

“See, Henry? Patience isn’t just waiting. It’s watching and learning.”

SUNDAY - Leap Of Truth

By CJ Coop

Bradley T. Frog, the wize frog, hopped beside the pond. “Remember, Callie, honesty is our magic.”

“But why does it matter?” Callie’s frog eyes were wide as the full moon reflected in the water.

“Only truth can build trust, and trust binds us.” Bradley’s voice was stern yet gentle, his gaze settling on the beautiful calm waters.

Callie pondered, kicking a pebble. “But if I tell Leo I broke his reed flute…”

Bradley smiled. “He’ll appreciate the honesty more than the flute. Mistakes happen, Callie; trust endures.”

Nodding, Callie bounced away, her heart a little lighter, ready to face Leo.
