Tink learns when NOT to use his sting

By Katharine Valentino

Ummie Tink heard a huge noise. Flying toward it, he met Homer Hummer.

Homer was mad.
“A Bad Little Boy who wears boots is pulling our home up by the roots. Get your sting ready!”

Like a dart, they flew, and Tink’s nine brothers and thirteen sisters did, too. They all began to sting the Bad Little Boy.

“Stop! Homer Hummer!” cried Ummie Tink’s mother.

Homer stopped. So did Tink. The Bad Little Boy ran away.

“Listen,” said Mother, “Unless you are abused, your stings should not be used. If people are kind, never mind. You must be kind, too.”

TUESDAY - The Blooming Red Rose

By Gabriella KÅ‘rösi

“Tell me, Grandma, the story about the red rose.”

“I told you this story so many times.”

She said, “I know. I love it so much.”

Grandma gives in because she has a soft heart.

The legend goes: “Before time was time, the world was dark. One day in the depths of the earth where there is nothing, a magic seed of love was planted by a heart of sorrow. The seed grew out of the darkness and became the most beautiful red rose imaginable. When sadness visits, the magic red rose appears in your dreams to take the sorrow away.“

WEDNESDAY - Miss Maggies Helpful Paws

By Jessica Coop from Jessica's Quill

Maggie Tabby loved going to playgroup. She had lots of friends and was very outgoing. But Maggie also knew not everyone was like her. Some people were shy.

That’s why when she spotted Larry the Lab hiding in a corner, she was sure to ask if he was okay.
“Hello, Larry. Don’t you want to come play with us?”

The pup gave her a sad look. “It’s too noisy over there. I wanted to play in this corner here but no one else wanted to join me.”

“I’ll join you!” Maggie said, sitting down.

At once, Larry’s face lit up.

THURSDAY - The Heartfelt Present

In Ms. Thompson’s class, every student had a chance to be the “Star of the Week.” When it was Emma’s turn, she thought about what made her teacher special. Remembering how Ms. Thompson stayed late to help her with math, Emma decided to show her appreciation.

The next morning, she gave her teacher a handmade bookmark decorated with stars and a note: “Thank you for your kindness.”

Ms. Thompson was deeply touched. “Your generosity is as bright as these stars, Emma,” she said with a tearful smile. Emma learned that true generosity means appreciating and reciprocating kindness with heartfelt gestures.

FRIDAY - Lilly And The Blue Bird

Lilly was reading her new TinyTales.Press book #1 when a bird flew into the window beside her.

She was shocked as she watched the bluebird fall to the ground. “Mommy, mommy, come quick, a bird is hurt," she called to her mom.

Her mother met her outside at the site where the bird landed. They examined the bird, and it seemed OK, although it was surprised to fly into a clear window.

Lilly’s mom said, “That can happen to you, Lilly. Always remember that when it does, you pick yourself up and keep going.”

Just then, the bird flew away.

SATURDAY - The Meadows Colorful Lesson

After a brief rain shower, Bella Bunny and her younger brother Benny found themselves under a vivid rainbow. Excited, Benny hopped around, looking for the end. Bella gently told him to sit and watch the rainbow.

“See how it stretches across the sky? It’s here for us to enjoy right now,” she explained.

As they sat quietly, Bella taught Benny to notice how the colors made them feel and to listen to the gentle sounds of the meadow.

Benny learned from Bella the beauty of being still and appreciating the moment, finding joy in the rainbow’s calm after the storm.

SUNDAY - Forest Friends Learn To Work Together

Benny, the excited bunny, hopped frantically. “Leo, we need to move this log. Mum says supper won’t cook itself!”

Leo, the majestic lion, rolled his eyes. “A log? Easy for you, hard for me.”

“Cooperation, Leo. Together, we’re stronger.”

With a big sigh, Leo crouched, his paws gripping the log. Benny pushed with all his might. Slowly, the log shifted.

“See? Not so tough,” Benny panted, ears twitching.

Leo grinned. “You’re right, mate. Together, we did it!”

As they settled by the fire, Benny murmured, “We make a good team.”

Leo nodded, “Yeah, who knew cooperation could be this fun?”
