Ricky said, “Mom told me that this piece of glass is made from sand. That can’t be right.” His Dad took Ricky’s piece of glass from him and put it on his workbench.
His Dad said, “First, there’s something you should know about your Mom. She will never lie to you. Next, your Mom surfed as a young girl and learned much about Sand. She’s absolutely right.”
His Dad said, “See the picture of the Space Shuttle turning bright red from the heat from reentry? Its temperature was more than 3,000 degrees, roughly the same temperature that sand becomes glass.”

Sara and her dad planted a sunflower seed together, marking the start of her first gardening venture. Full of excitement, Sara asked her dad if it would grow by tomorrow.
With a chuckle, her dad explained that growing takes time and patience. Every day, Sara rushed to the garden to check, her eagerness uncontainable.
After several days with no sprout in sight, she groaned, "Will it ever grow?"
Her dad just smiled, "Patience, Sara, nature can't be rushed."
When the first sprout finally appeared, Sara's joy overflowed.
She learned that some things are well worth the wait.

Emma had always loved the old ceramic vase that sat on the family room shelf.
One day, while playing, she knocked it over by accident, shattering it. Heart sinking, she knew she had to face her dad.
With a trembling voice, she confessed to the mishap. Her dad listened quietly, his face serious but soft.
“Thank you for telling me the truth, Emma,” he said, placing a gentle hand on her shoulder. “It takes courage to be honest, especially when you’re scared.”
Together, they cleaned up, Emma feeling relieved and a little taller, having learned the true value of integrity.

When you are kind to someone or an animal, something happens to you and to them. They almost always return the kindness. Is it impossible to give all the kindness within you away to others or pets?
If you’re kind to others, people, and pets, they learn to love you even more.
Kindness is catchy, like a cold, but in a great way. You can pass it from one person or pet to another.
If you are kind, it’s returned to you. It usually comes back stronger when it’s returned.
Kindness is one of those absolute must-haves in our lives.

On the playground, Kimmy Koala’s suggestion of a race was met with quick excitement.
“Not you, Scottie”, Holly Horse snorted. “You can’t race with only one leg!”
Scottie Dog grew sad. He had gotten very sick as a pup and the Doctors had to remove one of his legs to make him better.
“Don’t be silly, Holly,” Mitsy Mouse said. “Scottie Dog has never had a problem playing with us before. Besides, his wheelchair will help him run!”
Scottie Dog brightened.
The race started, and Scottie Dog pushed himself forward with all his might, only coming second to Lucy Leopard.

“Dolly, What are you doing? Asked Sara, her mom.
Dolly said,
“I was looking in your purse. I wouldn’t take anything without asking, that would be stealing.”
“Dolly, I know you didn’t take something; how do I know?” Asked Sara.
“Because I always tell the truth, you can trust me. That means I’m honest, did I get it right,”
Asked Dolly.
Mom said,
“Yes, you did. What else is honesty,”.
Dolly said,
“You taught me that honesty is always telling the truth, no matter how hard. If I lie, no one will trust me, and they will know I’m not an honest person.”

Carla overhears the wealthy kids at school talking about signing up for Olympic Summer Camp. She wants to go but knows there is no sense in asking her parents. They can barely afford to put food on the table.
On Sunday morning, the preacher starts the service by announcing, “We have an amazing chance to send our children to a special event, the Olympic Summer Camp.
We believe each child deserves to feel valued, regardless of their family’s financial situation. Therefore, the church is paying for each one to attend.”
Carla is overjoyed. She knows God is smiling upon her.
