MONDAY- Secret Of The Enchanted Tree

By Rick Allen

They touched the bark, and a door appeared. Inside, colours danced, whispering secrets.

"Welcome," said a tiny fairy. "You found the Tree of Love." Jack smiled, "What does it do?"

The fairy twinkled, "It shows what you cherish most." Suddenly, images of their family and friends surrounded them.

"Wow, it's beautiful," Mia whispered.

They both stepped back, heartbeats in sync, knowing love's true magic. The forest shimmered, echoing their joy.

As they left, the fairy winked, "Remember, love is your greatest treasure."

Mia and Jack never forgot.

TUESDAY - The Magic Of Mindfulness

By Rick Allen

“Watch where you’re going !” shouted Lily as Max stumbled over a rock.

“Sorry,” he mumbled, rubbing his knee. "I was just thinking about the treasure.”

“Focus on now,” Lily advised. “The journey is as important as the goal.”

Max looked around, noticing the vibrant flowers and chirping birds for the first time. He smiled. “Mindfulness,” he whispered, feeling lighter. They continued each step with a small joy. Near the end, a rainbow arched overhead.

“Look,” Max said, “our treasure.”

Lily grinned. “Sometimes, the journey itself is the treasure.”

Max nodded, understanding. He’d found more than gold; he’d found peace.

WEDNESDAY -  The Bear And The Worm

By DR Rawson

First thing every morning before school, Bear sits quietly alongside his pal Worm.

Bear asked Worm,
“Why do the other kids pick on me? They are always poking at me and slapping me on the back—one of the slaps last Friday kind of hurt. I wish people would stop picking on me."

Worm says,
“Bear, I don’t think you understand that they don’t know how to ‘play’ with you. Look how much bigger you are than me.”

Bear says,
“But Worm, we’re friends, right?”

Worm says,
“Yes, we are.”

Worm says,
“Bear, you stay by me, I’ll protect you.”

THURSDAY - The Waiting Game

By Rick Allen

Tommy stared at the clock, fidgeting.

“Mum, how much longer?” he sighed.

“Just a bit more, Tommy. Patience,” she smiled.

He huffed, crossing his arms. His sister giggled,
“Tommy, waiting isn't so bad!” Suddenly, the aroma of cookies wafted through the air.

His eyes widened.
“Are they ready yet?” he asked eagerly.

“Almost there Tommy,” Mum said, peeking into the oven. Moments later, the timer dinged.

“Finally!” Tommy cheered.

He bit into a warm cookie and realised the wait made it sweeter.
“Sometimes, good things take time,” he grinned, licking crumbs off his fingers.

Patience had never tasted so good.

FRIDAY - If You Lie, You Can't Be Trusted

By DR Rawson

Her dad said, “It’s important to tell the truth.”

"Let me share a story about Mickey. He was a friend in elementary school—or so I thought. One day, I discovered that he to and about me several times. I asked Mickey about it. He said he lied.

This taught me that Mickey's words couldn’t be trusted and that he wasn’t a true friend. I realized then that I want honest people in my life. That's the beauty of friendship—you never lie to each other."

“Her dad said,” Joann, "I really hope you agree.”

“Yes, I do,” said Joann

SATURDAY - Listen From The Inside

By Rick Allen

Seven-year-old Lucas felt uneasy about climbing the tall jungle gym on a sunny day in the park despite his friends’ excitement.

Sensing his hesitation, his mom knelt beside him. “What’s wrong, honey?” she asked gently.

Lucas frowned, “Something doesn’t feel right, Mom. I think it’s too high for me.”

His mom nodded understandingly, “Always trust that feeling inside, Lucas. It’s your instinct protecting you.”

Grateful for her support, Lucas decided to play on the safer swings instead. This experience taught him the value of listening to his inner feelings, a lesson in trust and safety he’d remember always.

SUNDAY - Listening In The Park

By Rick Allen

During a sunny afternoon in the park, young Ben noticed his dad was quiet and seemed thoughtful.

Curiously, he asked, “What’s on your mind, Dad?” His dad shared worries about work.

Ben listened intently, making eye contact and nodding, showing he cared. “I get it, Dad. It’s like when I’m upset about a soccer game,” Ben related, drawing a parallel.

His dad smiled, touched by Ben’s understanding and respect. “Exactly, Ben. Thank you for listening,” he said.

This moment taught Ben the power of respect through simple actions, like listening and showing empathy, enhancing their relationship and his interpersonal skills.
