MONDAY- For The Love Of Saphira

By DR Rawson

Charlotte sighed, sinking into the couch. “I don’t need a doctor, sweetie. It’s probably nothing.”

Saphira frowned, her blue eyes filled with worry. “Nana, you always tell me to be brave. Now it’s your turn. I need you to go. I don’t want anything to happen to you.”

Charlotte smiled weakly, gently brushing a hand over Saphira's cheek. “You’re too wise for your age, you know that?”

“Promise me, Nana,” Saphira whispered, clutching Charlotte’s hand.

Charlotte stood, her green eyes sparkling with love. “For you, my little Saphira, I promise.” Charlotte thought, “Sometimes, courage comes from those we love most.”

TUESDAY - A Hand To Hold

By DR Rawson

Emma watched from the playground bench as her classmate, Liam, sat alone near the swings. His head hung low, and his shoes scuffed at the dirt as he kicked at the ground.

Taking a deep breath, Emma casually walked over.
“Hey, Liam,” she said softly. “Want to sit with me?”

Liam shrugged. “
Well, nobody wants to play with me today.”

Emma smiled.
“I do, I’m here.”

They sat together, sharing stories about their favorite games. Soon, Liam’s frown turned into laughter.

“Thanks, Emma,” Liam said. “I feel better now.”

Emma grinned.
“Sometimes, a little kindness is all it takes.”

WEDNESDAY -  Best Dancer Ever

By Rick Allen

“Let’s turn up the music!” Dad said, reaching for the kitchen speaker.

A lively beat filled the air as Emily stirred the sauce. “Dance with me, Daddy!” she squealed, holding out her hands.

Dad spun her around, both of them laughing as they swayed and twirled. Emily giggled, grabbed another spoon, and pretended to play the spoons like drumsticks. “You’re funny!” she said, hopping around.

“And you’re the best dancer!” Dad replied, matching her moves.

The kitchen filled with laughter, the sauce bubbling in the background.

Emily hugged Dad. “You’re the best, Daddy.”

“And you’re my superstar,” he said, smiling.

THURSDAY - A Shoulder To Lean On

By DR Rawson

Under the shade of a sprawling oak tree, Olivia sat on a park bench, her face buried in her hands as quiet sobs escaped her.

Jonathan, who had been riding his bike nearby, stopped when he saw her. Gently, he approached. “Are you okay?” he asked softly, crouching down beside her.

Olivia shook her head. “I lost my favorite bracelet... my grandma gave it to me.”

Jonathan thought for a moment, then smiled. “I’ll help you find it.”

He searched the grass while she wiped her tears. When he held up the bracelet, her smile returned, brighter than the sun.

FRIDAY - A Cup Of Generosity

By DR Rawson

The sun blazed down on the neighborhood lemonade stand. Tim, a 10-year-old with a mop of red hair, wiped his brow and counted his last few cups.

Across the street, Lily sat behind her empty stand, her lemonade long gone. She watched Tim’s busy line with a sad smile.

Tim noticed her and grabbed two cups of lemonade. He walked over and handed one to Lily.

“But I didn’t pay,” she said, surprised.

Tim grinned. “It’s on the house. Generosity tastes sweeter anyway.”

Lily sipped the lemonade and smiled. Tim was right—it was the sweetest drink she’d ever had.

SATURDAY - The spark Of Joy

By DR Rawson

Mike and Cheryl sat quietly, the weight of bad news pressing down on their shoulders.

“How can we be happy, Mike?” Cheryl asked, her voice soft.

Mike thought for a moment, then said, “Happiness isn’t about pretending everything’s okay. It’s about finding a spark to share, even in tough times.”

Cheryl frowned. “But what if the spark is gone?”

Mike smiled gently and pulled out an old photo album. They laughed at silly memories, and for the first time that day, their smiles were real.

“See?” Mike said. “Joy isn’t what we keep—it’s what we give.”

Bobby and Mary were building castles in the sandbox, their giggles filling the sunny afternoon. Suddenly, Mary winced and clutched her finger. “Ow!” she cried.

Bobby dropped his shovel and hurried to her side. “What happened, Mary?”

“I scraped my finger on a rock,” she sniffled, her eyes brimming with tears.

Without hesitation, Bobby gently held her hand and said, “It’s okay, Mary. I’m here.” He blew softly on her finger and then dug into his pocket. “Here, my lucky band-aid!” he exclaimed, carefully placing it on her finger.

Mary smiled through her tears. “Thanks, Bobby. You’re the best.”
