MONDAY- Going For The Gold

By DR Rawson

Bobby asked, “How were the Alps?

“Some of the best boarding I’ve ever enjoyed.” Said Anton.

“What made the Alps so special?” Bobby Asked with a smirk on his face.

Anton said, “You found out about my special friend, didn’t you?” He could hardly contain his laughter.

Bobby said, “Yeah, it’s not every day you get to snowboard with a big squirrel on your back.”

Anton said, “He was there from the top down to the win. I wanted him to fly to Paris, and he ran away. I think he knew I wanted gold, or he couldn’t speak French.”

TUESDAY - I Really Want To Be Successful

By DR Rawson

“Last night at dinner, everyone was talking about the Olympics. That got me thinking. I think I know what I want to do,” said Todd.

Marian chimed in,
“Me too.”

Their Mom said,
“Tell us, we can’t wait.”

Marian said,
“Girls first. I’m going to be a gymnast."

Todd said,
“I’m already playing varsity baseball. I’m going to play in college and use that to get to the Olympics.”

Dad said, “Your mom and me are proud. There are many things that could go wrong but if you have the discipline to practice and work hard, you will make it.”

WEDNESDAY -  This Isn't Fair

By DR Rawson

Buster crossed his arms, frowning. “It’s not fair! Why does Sam get to play longer?”

Dad knelt down, looking Buster in the eye.
“I know it feels unfair, buddy, but let me explain. Fairness doesn’t always mean the same for everyone. Sam’s been waiting longer, so he gets a bit more time today.”

Buster huffed.
“But I want more time too!”

Dad smiled gently.
“And you’ll get your turn. Fairness means everyone gets what they need when they need it. Sometimes that looks different for each of us.”

THURSDAY - You Can Do It

By DR Rawson

The small bird perched nervously on the edge of the nest, wings fluttering with uncertainty. Below, the ground seemed so far away.

“I don’t think I can do it,” the bird whispered, looking back at her mother.

“You’ve practiced, and you’re ready,” the mother bird said gently. “Trust yourself.”

The young bird took a deep breath, her heart racing. She closed her eyes, feeling the wind under her feathers, then leaped.

FRIDAY - Forgiveness

By DR Rawson

Milo sat on the swing, arms crossed, glaring at the ground. Ellie shuffled her feet nervously. “I’m really sorry for breaking your toy,” she said softly.

Milo didn’t look up.
“You always say sorry. How do I know you’re being honest with me?”

“I know, but this time I really mean it,” Ellie whispered. “Can we still be friends?”

Milo paused, his anger slowly melting away. He remembered all the fun times they’d had.
“I guess… we can fix the toy together,” he said, standing up.

SATURDAY - Hopping Gratitude

By DR Rawson

Two frogs, Ribbit and Croak, sat enjoying the cool pond and watching the sunset. "Croak, have you ever thought about how lucky we are?" Ribbit asked.

Croak tilted his head.
"Lucky? We’re just frogs!"

Ribbit smiled.
"But look at all we have. Fresh water, juicy flies, and the warmth of the sun."

Croak thought for a moment, then nodded.
"You're right. I never stopped to notice."

Ribbit grinned.
"Gratitude makes the world a little brighter, don't you think?"

Croak hopped closer.
"Maybe we should thank the pond for always being here." Together, they croaked a joyful chorus full of gratitude.

SUNDAY - Labor Day Parade

By DR Rawson

Lily and Max watched from the sidewalk as the big parade marched down Main Street. There were people in uniforms, construction workers, teachers, and doctors, all smiling and waving.

“Why are they celebrating?” Max asked.

“Because it’s Labor Day,” Lily explained. “It’s a day to thank everyone who works hard to help our towns and cities grow!”

People holding two signs that said,
“We All Work,” and the other sign said, “We Make A Difference!” waved at them. Lily and Max both waved back, feeling proud.

“Maybe one day, we’ll be in the parade, too,” Max said.

Lily said.
“Absolutely!”
