Appreciation

Margaret chose the winding path uphill, as Gabriella suggested. The climb was steep, roots and stones catching their feet, but the view at the top was breathtaking. The forest stretched endlessly, bathed in golden light. Margaret looked at Gabriella and Libby, feeling a swell of appreciation for their friendship and the journey they’d shared.

Pixie appeared at her side, shimmering with approval. The little creature looked around, then nodded as if to say, “See what beauty we’ve found?” Margaret grinned, grateful for the challenge, the forest, and her friends. She realized every twist in the path was a gift.
